The Chevalley Beach Resort

The rooms at The Chevalley Beach Resort range from 16 m² to 63 m², with sea-view and ocean-view rooms, family rooms and a two-bedroom family suite that sleeps up to five guests. Capacities run from two to five guests, and room layouts include double, queen and single beds, and the rooms sleep between two guests and five.

Air conditioning is available in the rooms, and several rooms have free bottled water, a refrigerator or blackout curtains. Several rooms also have toiletries, hair dryers and a flat-screen TV, and some have a balcony or terrace, with the sea or ocean in view from some of them.

The Chevalley Beach Resort sits in Thung Wa, a district of Satun province in southern Thailand, where the land around the resort is rural and small villages are scattered across the countryside. The resort has its own private beach, so the sea is close at hand without a separate trip.

The closest village, Ban Kon Klan, is 1.5 km away, with Ban Ba Ra Yi, Ban Tanyong La Nai and Ban Bu Boi further out across the countryside. Satun province is known for its islands, and the Tarutao National Marine Park, a group of islands off the Satun coast, is one of its best-known excursions. Trips to the islands involve a boat, so the sea conditions set the pace of the day.

A good day can begin with a walk on the private beach or a swim in the pool, then continue with a boat trip out to Tarutao if the weather allows. In the rainy months, rough seas can stop boats from running, so an island day should be planned around the weather.
