The Box Residence

The Box Residence offers a 40 m² Standard Room and a 40 m² Suite Room, both with a king bed for two guests, and a 36 m² Studio that sleeps up to three. Further suites, single rooms and a twin room also sleep up to three guests, and the Suite Room has a city view.

Rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, a microwave, a refrigerator and a balcony or terrace. Complimentary tea and free bottled water are provided, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Guests have access to a fitness centre, a concierge and 24-hour security, and the building has an elevator. Daily housekeeping is offered, and there is a laundromat as well as a laundry service. A garden is on site, and a shrine stands on the property.

Free parking is available on site, and there is also parking nearby. Guests can use the kitchen and the restaurants, and bottled water is offered too.

For staying connected, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and there is internet in the public areas, along with a telephone and satellite or cable channels. The languages spoken include English and Thai, and there are a convenience store and shops.

The Box Residence is in Thonburi, the part of Bangkok on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, on Soi Thaweewattana, where the streets are lined with houses and small shops. Daily life here runs through the neighbourhood, with temples, a few museums and local markets spread along the side streets rather than the crowded central avenues.

The church is the closest landmark to the hotel: Taweewattana Baptist Church is 300 m away, and the Buddhism Museum, which is devoted to Buddhism, is 1 km off. Wat Puranawat, a temple with a pagoda, and Sala Ya Market are 1.6 km away, and Phutthamonthon, a large park with Buddhist monuments and statues, is 1.7 km from the hotel. Sala Ya station, on the railway line, is 1.8 km away.

A day could start at the Buddhism Museum and Wat Puranawat, then cross the river to the Grand Palace, which lies on the other side of the Chao Phraya and is a longer trip by taxi or car. Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang are the two airports, and Don Mueang is the nearer of the two, both a fair drive from Thonburi. The Chatuchak Weekend Market and Siam Paragon are in central Bangkok, where shopping is concentrated, and they are further away still.
