The Bangkok Major Suite

Every room at The Bangkok Major Suite has air conditioning. Depending on the room, guests will find a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle or a refrigerator.

The Junior Suite measures 25 m² and sleeps up to three guests. The Deluxe Room measures 21 m² with a king bed for up to two guests, the Triple Room is also 21 m² with a single bed, and a Standard room sleeps up to three guests.

The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes and an elevator. Guests can use daily housekeeping, dry cleaning, a laundromat and a laundry service, and a convenience store and a salon are on the property.

For food and drink, there is a restaurant, a bar, a coffee shop and a shared kitchen. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, and the public areas also have WiFi, with internet services and a telephone available as well. English and Thai are the languages spoken at the hotel, and the front desk is staffed around the clock.

Parking is not available at the property. Children are welcome, and a baby cot is available on request.

The Bangkok Major Suite stands in Chatuchak, a district of northern Bangkok on Paholyothin Road that mixes local neighbourhoods with markets and offices. Travellers who want to be close to the BTS skytrain rather than the old city will find it convenient, and Ratchayothin BTS Station is 250 m away, a short walk from the hotel, and a second BTS station is nearby.

Within a short distance are the Bang Khen Market, 400 m away, a neighbourhood market for everyday food and shopping, and the Thai Bank Museum nearby, which covers the history of banking in Thailand. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 4.3 km away, is one of Bangkok's largest markets, with clothing, food and crafts stalls spread over many lanes and open on weekends. Its street food stalls and small shops run along the main roads, a typical everyday Bangkok scene.

A good day could start early at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, then return to the hotel area by BTS for lunch and head to the old city in the afternoon. The Grand Palace, 12.6 km away, is the main sight there, and Wat Arun stands across the river from it, so the two can be seen in the same afternoon.
