Taa Then Bay sits on Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand that is known above all for diving and snorkelling. Sairee Beach, the island's best-known stretch of sand, is 550 m from the resort and is lined with dive centres and cafés. The resort is also within 1.3 km of a clinic, a 7 Eleven and an ATM, which cover the everyday needs of a stay on the island.
Nang Yuan is a small group of islets just offshore, reached by boat and a common day trip from Ko Tao, with a viewpoint over the islets.
