The Aiyara

The Aiyara offers a choice of room types, with bed set-ups from single and twin beds to a king bed, and rooms overlooking the garden, the pool or the city. Most room types measure 53 m², and many have a private bathroom, a hair dryer and a shower.

Several rooms also have a flat-screen TV and blackout curtains, and the rooms with a pool view look out over the outdoor pool. The family room sleeps up to four guests, and some rooms have a whirlpool bathtub or a bathtub, so guests can choose the room that fits the way they like to relax after a day of sightseeing.

The Aiyara has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a fitness centre and a sauna, along with a garden and a terrace. The Aiyara is in the Bang Pa-in area of Ayutthaya, a more residential part of the province than the historic park at the core of the old capital. Villages, small temples and local markets are close to the roads here, making it a base for travellers who want to see the old capital while staying somewhere quieter.

Within a few kilometres you can reach Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon, 3.6 km away, and Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, 4.3 km away, which is home to a large seated Buddha image. Wat Mahathat, famous for a Buddha head entwined in tree roots, is 6.2 km from the property and is one of the best-known temples in the old capital. Shops, a hypermarket and a water park are close by as well, so everyday errands can be done without going far.

A full day can start at Wat Mahathat and continue at the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village in the afternoon, a floating market with an elephant village that makes a change from the temples. The property is reached by road, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 71.4 km away while Don Mueang International Airport is 44.8 km away, so the road journey from either airport is the longer part of the trip.
