Thanyapura Sports and Health Resort

Rooms at Thanyapura Sports and Health Resort run from 30 m² twin rooms to 63 m² suites, sleeping two to five guests. Rooms can have individual air conditioning, a closet, a desk and an in-room safe, and free WiFi is available in all rooms.

Several rooms have a mountain, garden or pool view, and some suites have a bathtub. Thanyapura Sports and Health Resort sits in Thalang, a district of Phuket island on Thepkasattri Road, and its surroundings are quieter than the beach towns of Patong, Karon and Kata. Phuket International Airport is 8.6 km away, and the resort is aimed at guests who want a sports-focused stay away from the beach strips.

The sights close to the hotel are temples, a monument and an adventure park. Wat Kanan, a Buddhist pagoda, and Wat Phra Thong, a Buddhist temple, are both nearby, and Cable Jungle Adventure Park, set in the jungle, is also close. The Thalang Victory Monument commemorates the island's defence in the 18th century, and the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary cares for rescued elephants. Reaching the beaches takes a car or taxi, because Patong is well away from the hotel, and the resort offers car hire and bicycles for shorter trips.

A day could combine the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary and the Thalang Victory Monument with the temples nearby, and the resort's own sports and spa facilities fill the rest of the day. For a beach day, Patong is the closest of the main beach areas. Wat Chalong, one of the island's best-known temples, is a longer trip, and it can be paired with the Big Buddha on its hill in the same day.
