Wat Pathommabut Itsararam, a pagoda, is 350 m from the hotel, and the Bangkok Noi Floating Market is 800 m away, where boats sell food along the canal. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is 3.2 km away on the riverbank, and the Grand Palace is 2.7 km away across the river. The Phra Pin Klao Pier is 1.5 km away and a useful starting point for river crossings to the old city.

A good day starts at the floating market in the morning, followed by the National Museum of Royal Barges and a walk through Pra pin Klao Park. From the pier you can cross the river to the Grand Palace and the temples of the old city. Temples on both banks of the river are part of the same route, so one day can cover most of the sights, and the riverside is a good place to end the evening.
