Phra Khanong Market, a local market, is a short walk from the hotel, and Ekkamai BTS Station lies a little further along Sukhumvit. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the best-known markets in Bangkok, is in the north of the city.

A day in the old city could start at the Grand Palace, 11.7 km from the hotel, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha stands within the palace grounds, with Wat Arun across the Chao Phraya river. Wat Pho, also in the old city, is known for its large reclining Buddha. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is in the Siam area. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 17.2 km away.
