Tara Lake Hotel

A good day could start with a morning at the floating market, then head into the old city for the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, both near the Chao Phraya river and reached by a longer trip from the hotel. Chatuchak Weekend Market, in the north of the city, is worth a separate day, as it only runs at weekends. It is a long day out, so it is best planned for a separate morning, with the metro or a taxi for the trip there.
