Klong Dao Beach is a short walk from the hotel, and Kantiang Bay lies 1.2 km away with a long sandy shore. Sala Dan Pier, the island's ferry terminal, is 1.9 km away, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave, a limestone cave, is 11.9 km away. Lanta Old Town, a historic town with local houses and daily life, is also on the island. Most of the island's sights are reached by road, so car hire is the simplest way to see them.

A day could start on Klong Dao Beach and continue to Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 19.5 km away, a marine park covering islands and coastline. Sea conditions can become rough in the rainy season, which can affect boat trips. For a quieter day, the beach at Klong Dao is close enough to return to the hotel between swims, and the village lanes between the sand and the hotel are easy to walk.
