Tanotebay View Resort by Kohtao Heritage

Every room at Tanotebay View Resort by Kohtao Heritage has a sea view. The layouts include a king room, triple rooms with a single and a king bed, a bungalow, a double room with a balcony, a one-bedroom suite and a 60 m² king suite, so guests can choose between doubles, triples, suites and a bungalow, all with sea views.

Many rooms have air conditioning and a flat-screen TV, and the private bathrooms have showers, hair dryers and toiletries. Some rooms sleep two guests and others up to five, and the suites and the bungalow have a choice of bed set-ups.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's pool, as well as a kids club, a playground and a game room. Table tennis, canoeing and snorkelling are also offered on the property, and there is a terrace where guests can sit outside.

Food is served at the restaurant and the bar, and there is a coffee shop as well. Breakfast takeaway service, alternative meal arrangements and food delivery are also offered.

Tanote Bay is on Ko Tao, an island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat from the mainland or from Ko Samui. The island is known above all for its diving, one of the best-known diving islands in the Gulf, and the resort looks out over the bay from its sea-view rooms. A diving centre is a short distance from the resort.

Calypso Diving Koh Tao is 100 m from the resort, and Ao Tanote Beach is on the same bay. Mao Bay Beach, another beach close to the resort, is 750 m away. Sairee Beach, the island's best-known stretch of sand, is 2.5 km away, with its restaurants and dive shops. The Love Koh Tao viewpoint is 1 km away, and Koh Nang Yuan, a small group of islands joined by sandbars, lies 5.2 km away and is a popular day trip from the island.

A day out can combine a dive or a snorkelling session at the bay with a boat trip to Koh Nang Yuan, and end at one of the viewpoints. The resort has a tour desk for day trips, and the islands around Ko Tao are reached by boat. The viewpoints are the simplest sights to add to a day that also includes the beaches.
