Tambai Resort

Accommodation at Tambai Resort ranges from bungalows that sleep up to three guests to a 16 m² room with a double bed and a garden view. Rooms can have air conditioning, a shower, a balcony or terrace and free bottled water.

Tambai Resort is in Tambon Tamnamput, in the Mueang district of Phang Nga, a provincial town on the Andaman side of southern Thailand. The surroundings are known for limestone hills, caves and forest, which give the area much of its character, and the nearby sights range from caves and temples to a waterfall. Most of them are reached by road from the resort.

Within a few kilometres you find Tham San Rock Art, 1.3 km away, and Phung Chang Cave, 3.9 km away, one of several caves in the local area. The Phangnga Chatuchak Weekend Market is 3.4 km away, Phang Nga Museum is in the town, and the Phang Nga Bus Terminal, 4.8 km away, is the place for onward travel by bus. Temples are close by too, including San Chao Ma Cho Po and Wat Tham Ta Pan, both within a few kilometres.

A full day could start at the rock art site, continue to Phung Chang Cave and finish at Sa Nang Manora Waterfall, 4.3 km away. Because the sights are spread several kilometres apart, car hire or the taxi service is useful for covering them in one day. All three are reached by road from the resort.
