Taman Resort

The rooms at Taman Resort look over either the garden or the pool. Every room has a shower, and several pool-view rooms have a whirlpool bathtub. Beds range from a double bed to a king bed, and some rooms pair a king bed with a single bed for three guests. Rooms with garden views look onto the greenery around the hotel, and rooms with pool views face the swimming pool.

Rooms sleep two or three guests, and rooms with a private bathroom come with bathrobes, toiletries, a hair dryer and an electric kettle. The Standard Room has air conditioning, a desk and a window that opens, and each room is set up with its own bed arrangement.

Taman Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. There is a family room, wheelchair-accessible facilities, 24-hour security and an airport transfer, and luggage storage is also available.

Restaurants, room service and food delivery cover meals, with breakfast available à la carte or in the restaurant, and dinner is served in the restaurant too. Meals can be ordered to the room as well as taken in the restaurant.

Taman Resort is in Samo Khae, a neighbourhood of Mueang Phitsanulok district, the district that holds the provincial capital. Phitsanulok sits on the Nan River in the lower north of Thailand, and its temples and night market give travellers plenty to see. The historic town of Sukhothai is a popular day trip from here, and the city's temples and markets are a practical base for a few days of sightseeing.

Phitsanulok Airport is 6.6 km from the hotel, and there is an airport transfer, while Sukhothai Airport is further away. Phitsanulok Bus Terminal 2 is 750 m from Taman Resort, and the railway station is 7.2 km away, so bus and train connections are close. The temples Wat Nang Phaya (7.7 km) and Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat, known as Wat Yai (7.8 km), are among the city's best-known temples.

A day could start at Wat Yai, then continue to the Sgt. Maj. Thawee Folk Museum for an introduction to local history. In the evening, the Phitsanulok Night Bazaar is a good place for a stroll and a meal. For a longer outing, the historic park at Sukhothai is a day trip by road. Each of these sights can be reached by taxi from the hotel, so the day can be planned around them.
