Talk to the Moon Hostel

All the rooms at Talk to the Moon Hostel measure 30 m² and have air conditioning, blackout curtains, linens, toiletries and towels. They are dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds: two of them sleep one guest each, and the triple room has four bunk beds for up to four guests.

One dormitory is mixed and the other is reserved for women, so guests can pick the room that fits their group.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, and the hostel also has internet access and Wi-Fi in its public areas, so guests can get online in the common areas as well as in their rooms. English and Thai are spoken at the property.

The rooms have air conditioning, blackout curtains, linens, toiletries and towels, and a socket near the bed. The bathroom comes with a shower, and the hostel's ground floor is accessible for guests who need it.

Haad Rin is a village on the southeast tip of Ko Pha-ngan, known across Thailand for its beach parties and for the Full Moon Party held on Haad Rin Beach, which is 50 m from the hostel. The streets around it are lined with guesthouses, small shops and food stalls, so the nightlife and the beach sit close together. Those who come for the beach parties and the nightlife will find both in the village itself.

Within a short walk are Haad Rin Nok, another sandy beach, and the Haad Rin Viewpoint, 650 m away, which looks out over the bay. Ko Pha-ngan has no airport of its own: Samui Airport on the neighbouring Ko Samui is the nearest, and the last stretch of the journey is by boat. The Haad Rin Queen ferry terminal is close to the village for that crossing.

A good day starts on Haad Rin Beach and continues with a walk up to the viewpoint in the afternoon. On party nights the beach fills up, so the quieter hours of the day suit a walk along the sand. For a calmer beach, Thong Nai Pan Yai is 10.4 km away, a longer trip by road, so it works better as a separate day out.
