Khaosan Road is 700 m away, the Grand Palace is 1.8 km away and Wat Arun, on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya, is 2.5 km away. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) sits within the Grand Palace grounds, and Wat Phra Chetuphon, with its reclining Buddha, is close by. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip, 6.5 km away.

A good day can start at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then move on to the reclining Buddha at Wat Phra Chetuphon, and end back on Khaosan Road for street food.
