Wat Phasi, a temple close by, and The Strand Park, a green space, are both in the neighbourhood, while the Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum with a collection of Asian art, is 6.3 km away. Chatuchak Weekend Market is 8 km away, and the Grand Palace is 10.3 km away.

A good day could start at Wat Phasi and The Strand Park, then continue to the Jim Thompson House or the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is open mainly at weekends. The Grand Palace and the temples of the old city are a longer trip, usually made by taxi. Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya river, is in the same part of the old city.
