It is a practical place to stop for a night or two between the railway and the coast, with the town's shops and food stalls a short walk away.

Locomotive No.9 (200 m) is a monument to the railway, and the Chumphon Night Market (250 m) sells street food and local snacks in the evening. The railway station is a short walk away (400 m), and the San Chao Kheng Chiu Kong To temple (500 m) is close by as well. Each of these can be reached on foot from the hotel, and the station and the bus terminal are close enough to make the hotel convenient for rail and bus travellers.

A good day could start with the locomotive monuments and the temple, then move on to the evening market for dinner. In the morning, head out to the Chumphon National Museum, 3.2 km away, for an overview of the province's history and culture. The Monkey School, where macaques are trained to pick coconuts, is also in the area.
