Laem Sing Beach, a small beach, lies 1.1 km away. Bang Tao Night Market, 2.1 km off, is the place for evening food stalls and local goods, and Phuket FantaSea, 2.5 km away, is a large theme park with an evening show. Patong Beach, the island's best-known beach for nightlife along Bangla Road, is 8.2 km away.

Getting around the island is easiest by taxi or hired car, as the main beaches and attractions are spread across a fairly large island. A day could start on the sand at Surin and continue to Wat Chalong, the island's best-known temple, or the Big Buddha, the large seated statue on Nakkerd Hills. Trips to the south of the island take longer than a short ride to the night markets, so it helps to plan the day around them. Evening outings to the night markets are simpler, since they sit close to the hotel and can be reached in a short ride.
