Further afield, the Surat Thani Night Market is an evening market in the town, and Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya Worawihan, an old temple with a chedi in Chaiya, lies 27.8 km away. Both are reached by road, so the hostel's car hire and taxi service are the easiest way to plan a trip out.

For a day out, the temple at Chaiya is the main sight to aim for, and car hire and a taxi service are offered at the hostel. Guests who prefer to explore on their own can use the bicycle rental on site for trips around the Phunphin area. The night market is closer and makes an easier evening outing than the temple.
