The larger shopping centre, Jungceylon, is in Patong rather than here, so the everyday shopping in Bang Thao is on a smaller scale.

Phuket FantaSea, the cultural theme park and show complex, is 3.8 km away, and Wat Chalong, a major Buddhist temple in the Chalong area, is a longer trip across the island. Phuket International Airport is 13.5 km away, and the hotel offers an airport transfer as well as car hire and a taxi service, so getting around by car or taxi is straightforward. The Bang-Tao Night Market is close by, and Big Buddha Phuket, a large hilltop statue, is 18.3 km away.

A day could start with a swim at Bang Tao Beach, continue with a visit to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha on its hill, and end with a walk around the Bang-Tao Night Market in the evening. If you want something livelier, Patong Beach and Bangla Road offer bars and restaurants, and Phuket FantaSea hosts a cultural show.
