Sunnyside Kata

All rooms at Sunnyside Kata sleep up to three guests. The Deluxe Double Room and the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony are non-smoking.

One room has a balcony, and the Room Assigned on Arrival has air conditioning and wireless internet access. The property is 400 m from Kata Beach and 250 m from the Kata Night Market, so the sea and the evening market are both close to the rooms.

Sunnyside Kata has on-site parking, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests. The Kata Night Market and the Kata Open Market are about 250 m away, and a convenience store, an ATM and two pharmacies are also close by.

Kata is one of the best-known beach areas on Phuket island, and Sunnyside Kata sits among its lively streets. The long sandy beach is popular with swimmers and surfers, and the roads around the hotel are lined with small shops, cafes, massage places and street-food stalls.

Karon Beach, the neighbouring beach, lies 900 m away, while Kata Noi Beach, a smaller and calmer cove, is 1.9 km further on. Big Buddha Phuket, a large seated Buddha on a hilltop above the island, is 1.5 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known locally as Wat Chalong, is one of the most important temples on Phuket, 4.8 km from the property. Phuket International Airport is 32 km away, and the Minibus Station is the nearest public transport stop; for the temples and the Big Buddha, a taxi or hired car is the practical choice.

A good day could start with a swim at Kata Beach, continue with a visit to the Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end at the Kata Walking Street Night Market, where the stalls open in the evening. Karon Beach makes an easy stop for a second beach on the same day, and the local markets are good places to buy snacks and fruit before heading to the sand.
