A full day could combine the beach at Kamala with a visit to Wat Chalong, one of the island's most visited Buddhist temples, or with the Big Buddha on its hill. Wat Chalong is a large temple complex, and the Big Buddha stands on a separate hill, so both are easy to see in one day. For arrivals by air, Phuket International Airport is 18.8 km away, and Kamala Beach is the easiest place to start the day.
