Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 24.6 km away, and the Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hilltop, is 7.2 km away.

For a full day, combine the Big Buddha with an afternoon on the beach and an evening at the night market or along Bangla Road. Chaithararam Temple, also known as Wat Chalong, is one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples, and Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with evening shows, is 7.5 km away. Karon Beach and Kata Beach are also worth a visit along the coast, and the evening markets of Patong make a lively end to the day.
