Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, a former royal temple with three large chedis, is 5.4 km away, and Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head set among tree roots, is 4.5 km away. A fresh-food market and the Lotus Bus Terminal are both a short walk from the property, and the Ayutthaya Train Station is a short ride away.

A full day could start at Wat Mahathat and continue through the historic park by taxi or tuk-tuk, with stops at the other temples, before ending at the floating market and the elephant village in the afternoon. Don Mueang International Airport is the nearest airport, and trains from Bangkok run to Ayutthaya, so the town is easy to reach from the capital.
