SP Residence

Rooms at SP Residence can have air conditioning, a shower, toiletries, free bottled water and a refrigerator. Several rooms have a river view, and some also have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries.

Capacity runs from two to five guests, so there is room for couples, small groups and families travelling together. The Family Room and the Family Room (Room Only) each sleep up to five guests, and other rooms at SP Residence sleep two or three.

SP Residence has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, along with a garden, a shared lounge with a TV area and a bar. The restaurants serve a buffet breakfast with Asian options, and there is a coffee shop on site and 24-hour room service.

Guests can use the 24-hour front desk, concierge, luggage storage, laundry service and business facilities. The hotel also has a shuttle service and an airport transfer, and tours can be arranged.

A gift and souvenir shop and a convenience store are on site, so small purchases can be made without leaving the hotel. Free parking is available, and free WiFi is provided in all rooms.

SP Residence is in the Lat Krabang district of Bangkok, a neighbourhood of local streets, temples and markets that is much closer to the airport than to the old city. Daily life runs along the local streets, with street-food stalls and small shops, and the setting is more about everyday Bangkok than about the big sights, which are a long way off.

Wat Phon Mani, a Buddhist pagoda, is 150 m from the hotel, and the Hua Takhe Old Market is 1.1 km away, a local market in the neighbourhood where the trade of the area is on show. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 6.1 km from the hotel, and the Suvarnabhumi Flea Market is 2 km away. The hotel offers an airport transfer, so the airport is the easiest first stop for travellers arriving or leaving by air, and the neighbourhood is a quiet place to rest between flights and sightseeing.

A good day out can start at Wat Phon Mani and the Hua Takhe market, then continue to the Siam Serpentarium, a reptile zoo 3 km away, where you can see snakes and other reptiles up close. Central Bangkok's temples and palaces, such as the Grand Palace, are a long way off, so plan a separate day for them.
