Most of the room types at Sourire at Rattanakosin Island Hotel have air conditioning and a private bathroom, and the rooms measure between 20 and 45 m². The Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace are within 1.5 km, and Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan sits beside the Loha Prasat, a metal palace with many spires. Both airports are further out: Don Mueang International Airport is 20.5 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 27.7 km. The river piers at Ratchadamnoen Nok and Nakhon Sawan are nearby, so the river is never far from the hotel.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then continue by river ferry to Wat Arun on the Thonburi bank of the river, and finish with dinner on Khaosan Road. The Queen's Gallery and the Ratchademnoen Contemporary Art Center are also close by, for visitors who enjoy art.
