SolarCell Private Homestay

The rooms at SolarCell Private Homestay measure 16 to 24 m², and one of them sleeps up to four guests. Every room has a private bathroom with towels, toiletries and an electric kettle, along with board games and puzzles.

Beds are single, queen or king, depending on the room, so the choice runs from two single beds to a king bed for two guests.

The grounds have an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a garden and a terrace, plus a playground. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are available, and the homestay also has BBQ facilities, a shared kitchen and room service.

For relaxation there is a sauna and massage, while the games room offers billiards, and there is also karaoke and a shared lounge with a TV area. Outdoor activities include fishing, hiking, non-motorised water sports and bicycles.

Other services include daily housekeeping, luggage storage, a shuttle service, 24-hour security, meeting and banquet facilities for larger gatherings, and both express and private check-in and check-out. Books, DVDs and music for children are also available.

SolarCell Private Homestay is in Mueang Uthai Thani, the district around the provincial town of Uthai Thani in central Thailand. It is a provincial setting rather than a beach area, and the town has temples, museums and hills within a few kilometres of the homestay. The landscape is inland, so the town and its countryside, rather than the sea, define the area.

The Uthai Thani Provincial Culture and Science Museum is 2.2 km away and covers both local culture and science. Wat Phi Chai Puranaram, a pagoda 2.5 km away, is another stop in the town. Trok Rong Ya Walking Street, 2.8 km away, is a pedestrian street in the town, and Sakae Krang Hill, 3 km away, has a viewpoint over the surroundings. Further west in the province lies the Huai Kha Khaeng wildlife sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage forest.

A full day could begin at the museum, continue to the pagoda and the walking street, and finish at the viewpoint on Sakae Krang Hill. Back at the homestay, the garden, the outdoor pool and the sauna offer a quieter end to the day, and the games room and karaoke are there for an evening in after a day out.
