Every room at SM Patong Resort has a private bathroom with a bathtub, a shower and toiletries, along with air conditioning, soundproofing and a mountain view. The rooms also have a hair dryer, towels, an electric kettle, a fan and a flat-screen TV, so the everyday essentials are already in place.

Patong Beach is 900 m from the resort, and Jungceylon Shopping Center, Bangla Road and the Dragon night market are all a short distance away. Karon Beach, a long stretch of sand further along the coast, is also close, and Freedom Beach is another beach nearby, with Patong's streets lined with local food stalls and massage shops. Big Buddha Phuket and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) are about 6.1 km away. Chaithararam Temple is one of the most important Buddhist temples on Phuket.

Phuket International Airport is 26 km away, and the more distant beaches and temples are best reached by car. A good day could start on Patong Beach in the morning, continue with a visit to Big Buddha Phuket, and end in the evening with a show at Phuket FantaSea, a theme park with a large cultural performance.
