Pratunam stays busy for most of the day, with crowds moving between the markets and the malls.

Pratunam Market is a short walk from the hotel, and Siam Paragon, the large mall with an aquarium, is 950 m away. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, is now a museum of Thai art and silk and sits 1.3 km away. For trains, Ratchaprarop Station on the Airport Rail Link is 200 m from the hotel, and Phaya Thai Train Station is 500 m away. Baiyoke II Tower, with its observation deck, is also close by, and Phyathai 1 Hospital is nearby.

A good day could begin at Jim Thompson House, continue with the clothing stalls of Pratunam Market and end in one of the malls on the way back. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the city, is a longer trip from the hotel, while the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are a longer journey across the river. The Airport Rail Link at Ratchaprarop runs to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
