Slaap36

Slaap36 has a single homestay type: a whole 250 m² house with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, for up to 12 guests. The house is air conditioned and has a television, a full kitchen, a washing machine, a desk, a closet and a private entrance, plus linens, toiletries and a hair dryer.

The house offers a choice of bed set-ups, so the sleeping arrangement can be adapted to the size of your group. Internet access is available throughout the house, and the stay is self-contained, with its own private entrance.

Parking is free at Slaap36, and the house has a kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes and dining utensils, plus kitchen basics such as cookware, oils and condiments. A washing machine is in the house, and a laundromat is nearby. The stove and microwave cover everyday cooking.

Internet access is available, and the house has a desk, a television and a balcony or terrace. A high chair is available for small children, and the Ari BTS Station is 350 m away.

Slaap36 sits on Phahon Yothin Road in Phaya Thai, a district north of central Bangkok, with the Ari neighbourhood around Ari BTS Station, 350 m away. The area has cafés and small restaurants alongside residential streets and busy main roads, and the BTS Sukhumvit Line runs from Ari into the centre of the city. Guests who travel by car can use the free parking at the house, while those without a car can rely on the skytrain for most trips into town.

Chatuchak Weekend Market, 2 km from the house, is one of Bangkok's largest markets and is open at weekends, with clothing, crafts, plants and street food. Jim Thompson House, 4 km away, is a teak house museum built by the American who revived Thai silk, and the Grand Palace, 6.7 km away, is the royal complex on the riverside.

Chatuchak is best combined with a visit to the Philatelic Museum or Or Tor Kor Market nearby, both within a couple of kilometres. For the historic centre, Wat Arun and the Grand Palace are reached by taxi from the house. A local flea market is close by, and after a day of sightseeing the cafés and small restaurants around Ari station make an easy place to eat close to the house, and the Ari station is the link back to the BTS network.
