Similan Mondo Resort & Camping

The rooms at Similan Mondo Resort & Camping include superior and deluxe rooms, a Standard Room with a mountain view and a whirlpool bathtub, and rooms with a king or queen bed. Some rooms come with air conditioning, and a refrigerator is available in some select rooms.

Room sizes are 16 m² for the superior room, 18 m² for the Standard Room and 19 m² for the Deluxe Suite. Some rooms sleep up to three guests, and the rooms are set up for couples as well as for small groups.

The villa offers a fitness centre, a garden, massage and a private beach, and the facilities also include canoeing, diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking, billiards and tours, so there is plenty to do beyond the beach.

For meals there is a coffee shop, BBQ facilities, a shared kitchen, room service and food delivery, and a convenience store and a salon are also on site. Guests who want to cook for themselves can use the shared kitchen.

Free WiFi is available in all rooms and in public areas, and the villa also offers luggage storage, daily housekeeping, car hire and a shuttle service. An airport transfer can be arranged, and free parking is available.

Khao Lak is a coastal area of Phangnga province on the Andaman Sea, where a long beach runs alongside resorts, villas and small guesthouses, and forested hills rise just inland. The villa sits in the Khaolak Beach area, a setting for a beach stay that also leaves room for day trips into the national parks.

The Similan Islands are the area's best-known attraction, and Similan National Park is 2.5 km from the villa. Boats to the islands leave from the piers at Thap Lamu, and Thap Lamu Pier is 3.4 km away. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 4.5 km away, is a forested reserve, and Ton Chong Fa Waterfall, 8.8 km away, is an inland waterfall in the hills. Hat Lek and Sunset Beach are other beaches along this coast.

Phuket International Airport is 53.3 km away, and an airport transfer can be arranged. The Similan Islands are reached by boat only outside the monsoon months, when the national park is open. A day could start with a boat trip to the islands and end with an afternoon on the beach, or for a quieter day, Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is a good choice, and it sits in the hills inland from the villa.
