Both stations are on the Silom Line, so the district is easy to reach from the Skytrain network. Patpong Night Market is 450 m away, and it is one of Bangkok's best-known night markets for street food and stalls. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is 2.8 km away, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the Chao Phraya riverbank, is 5.2 km away.

An easy day could start at Jim Thompson House, then a boat from the Oriental Pier to Wat Arun, and an evening at Patpong Night Market. Wat Arun sits on the opposite bank from the Grand Palace area, so a single river trip takes in two of Bangkok's best-known temples. The airport is further out, with Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) 23.8 km away.
