Sib Kao

Sib Kao's rooms come as doubles, twins, and queen and king rooms, with city and street views in some cases and no window in others. Rooms sleep up to three guests, and the rooms have an in-room safe box, a desk, trash cans and a socket near the bed.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Rooms can also have air conditioning, blackout curtains, a closet, a clothes rack, an ironing facility and a wake-up service, along with bathrobes, hair dryers and electric kettles. Some rooms have a private bathroom with a separate shower/bathtub, and the rooms have a clothes dryer for guests who need to dry their laundry.

The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes and a doorman, and there is an elevator. Daily housekeeping and an ironing service are offered, family rooms are available, and a taxi service is on hand for trips around the city. Sib Kao is on Sukhumvit Soi 19 in the Klongtoey-Nua area of Wattana district, a neighbourhood of offices, residential buildings and small shops along the Sukhumvit road. Several tailors have shops within a short walk, and the street keeps a quieter pace than the main shopping strips further along Sukhumvit. Sukhumvit is a long avenue that runs east from the city centre through a mix of residential and business districts, and the side lanes off it lead to apartment blocks, offices and small shops.

The Sukhumvit MRT station is 200 m away and Asok BTS station 250 m away, so the metro and skytrain are the main ways to get around the city from the hotel. The Asok area is one of the busiest interchanges on the Sukhumvit line, where the BTS and MRT lines meet. Two small museums, The Siam Society and the Kamthieng House Museum, are a short walk from the hotel, and Benjakitti Forest Park, a large green park, is nearby for a walk in the morning.

Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum of Thai art and silk, is 3.6 km away and makes a good half-day visit on its own. The Grand Palace is 7.5 km away, and Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya riverbank is another of the old city's best-known temples.
