The rooms at Siam Shelter all have a private bathroom with a shower, wireless internet access and a double bed. The Superior Room measures 26 m² and the Deluxe Double Room 27 m², and both have a city view. The Standard Room measures 25 m².

Some rooms have air conditioning, blackout curtains and linens, and most have a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels. The Deluxe Room measures 29 m² and offers free bottled water.

Siam Shelter's facilities include a 24-hour front desk and 24-hour security, express check-in and check-out, luggage storage and a terrace. The front desk is open around the clock, daily housekeeping is provided, and laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services are available.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the public areas also have WiFi, with internet services offered at the property. Air conditioning covers the public areas, and the rooms have satellite and cable channels in most cases, along with a telephone in some of them.

Siam Shelter stands on Soi Phaya Nak in the Siam district of central Bangkok, one of the city's busiest shopping and transport areas. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 800 m away, and the lanes nearby lead to Baan Krua, a traditional community known for its silk weaving. Walking through the neighbourhood, you move from the busy avenues of Siam to the smaller streets of Baan Krua.

Ratchathewi BTS Station is 250 m away and National Stadium BTS Station is 600 m away, so the Skytrain is the most practical way to cross the central districts. Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional Thai teak houses dedicated to the American-born entrepreneur who promoted Thai silk abroad, is 300 m from the property. Ban Krau Nua pier is close by on the Chao Phraya river.

The Grand Palace, 4.1 km away, and Wat Arun, on the Thonburi bank of the river, are two of the best-known sights of the old city. A day could begin at Jim Thompson House, continue by Skytrain to Siam Paragon and end with a boat ride from the Ban Krau Nua pier. On weekends, the Chatuchak Weekend Market, open only at weekends, is a longer trip out of the centre.
