ShineThonglor's rooms include studios, suites and apartments, with king beds, queen beds and single beds depending on the room. Some rooms have city views, one has a garden view, and the 105 m² 2-Bedroom Family Deluxe sleeps up to five guests. The 70 m² Club King Bed has a city view, and so does the 38 m² Junior Suite.

The area feels lively in the evening, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Sukhumvit runs through much of central Bangkok, so the neighbourhood is well connected to the rest of the city.

The Thong Lo BTS station is 500 m from the hotel, and Phrom Phong BTS station is a little further, so the skytrain is a quick way to reach the wider city. Noble Remix Pocket Park, a small park, is 450 m away, and the Soi 38 Nightmarket, a night market on Sukhumvit Soi 38, is 550 m from the property. For shopping, Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 5.2 km away.

A day of sightseeing could take in the Grand Palace, 9.7 km from the hotel, which includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha within its grounds, and Wat Arun, the temple on the bank of the Chao Phraya river across from the palace. Back in Thonglor, the evening can be spent in the restaurants and bars along the side streets, which are within walking distance of the hotel.
