The area suits visitors who want to be near the sea while keeping shops, restaurants and the evening market within a short walk of their accommodation.

SET Taina is a short walk from the Kata Night Market, which is 350 m away, and the beach is close as well. Further afield, the Phuket Big Buddha is 1.5 km away, a large white marble statue on a hill above the island. Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 4.6 km away and is one of the most important Buddhist temples on the island.

A good day could start with a swim at Kata Beach, followed by a visit to the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong in the afternoon, and finish in the evening at the Kata Night Market. For a livelier evening, Patong Beach, 6.6 km away, has bars and nightlife along its streets.
