Sensi Paradise Beach Resort

The rooms at Sensi Paradise Beach Resort measure 40 to 45 m² and sleep up to five guests. Sea, mountain and garden views are offered, in bungalows, family rooms and deluxe rooms with king, queen, single or double beds. There is a hillside bungalow, and several one-bedroom bungalows have a garden or mountain view, while the deluxe and superior homes each have a king bed and a garden view.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a fan, a mini bar, a refrigerator, an in-room safe, a balcony or terrace, and a hair dryer. Many have a private bathroom with bathrobes and toiletries, and the bungalows come with mosquito nets.

Maehaad Beach is a small village bay on Ko Tao, an island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat. The resort sits on the bay itself, and the village around it is compact, with dive centres and massage shops along the road and a relaxed pace after dark. Songserm Pier is also on the bay, so arrivals by boat reach the village within a short walk of the resort.

Around the bay, the Sunandra Kumariratana Shrine, a pagoda, is 50 m away, and the beach at Haad Ao Mae is 100 m away. Haad Sairee, 1.7 km away, is a long and busy beach with bars and dive schools, and Nangyuan Island, 4.5 km away, is reached by boat and is known for snorkelling. The island has no airport: Samui Airport lies 64.9 km away across the water, so the last stretch to Ko Tao is by boat.

A good day here can start with a swim off the beach, continue with a walk to the shrine and the pier, and end with a boat trip to Nangyuan Island. Boat trips can be rougher in the rainy months, so plan the sea crossings with that in mind.
