Sendee Hostel

Sendee Hostel offers single and double rooms, some facing the city and others looking out to the mountains. Several rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, toiletries and towels, and some have blackout curtains and a mosquito net.

Some rooms have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, one has a balcony or terrace, and others have a window that opens or a refrigerator. Occupancy runs from one guest in the single rooms up to three guests in the rooms that take three, so the choice depends on how many people are travelling and whether a view or a balcony matters most to you.

The hostel has a 24-hour front desk and 24-hour security, and daily housekeeping is provided. Tours can be arranged, and there is a private check-in and check-out option. Free parking nearby is available, and pets are allowed, though they may not be left unattended, so the front desk is staffed around the clock for guests who need help.

The rooms can also have individual air conditioning, high-floor positions, tile or marble flooring and outdoor furniture, with linens, mosquito nets and blackout curtains in some rooms. Guests also have internet services and satellite or cable channels.

Non-smoking rooms are available, and the services also include a convenience store, a salon and shops for everyday needs, with English and Thai among the languages the hostel offers.

Sendee Hostel is on Mittraphap Road in Phitsanulok, a provincial city in lower northern Thailand on the Nan River and on the main railway line north from Bangkok. The city is smaller and quieter than Bangkok and is often used as a stop between the capital and the northern provinces, so the area is a working city with temples, markets and good transport links rather than a resort setting.

The Phitsanulok Bus Terminal is 100 m from the hostel, and the Phitsanulok Railway Station is 1.6 km away. Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, known as Wat Yai, is 2 km away and houses the Phra Phuttha Chinnarat image, one of the most revered Buddha statues in Thailand. Wat Si Wisuttharam, a pagoda, and the Black Buddha monument are other sights nearby. The Phitsanulok Night Bazaar is also close by, and a hospital and cash machines are close by too, which is useful for a longer city stay.

Phitsanulok Airport is 5.2 km away, the closest airport to the hostel. In the evening, the Phitsanulok Night Bazaar is a good place to eat and browse, and Wat Yai makes a natural morning visit, with the Buddha image as its main draw.
