The Saint Louis BTS station is 200 m away and Chong Nonsi BTS station is 500 m, so the sky train reaches much of the city. Sri Mahamariamman Temple, a Hindu temple on Silom Road, is a short walk, and Silom Thai Cooking School is nearby, and the Saint Louis area has several temples and museums within walking distance of the house. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, is 3 km away, and Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex on the Chao Phraya, is another stop along the river.

One day could begin at the Grand Palace, 4.8 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the same complex, and end at the river. Chatuchak Weekend Market is a large weekend market on the other side of the city, with stalls selling clothes, crafts and plants, so it makes a full day out on its own.
