Wat Sophon Wanaram, a Buddhist temple, is 900 m away, and the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, which cares for elephants, is 1.5 km away. Bang Pae Waterfall is 3.2 km away in the forested hills, and Khao Phra Thaeo National Park, with its forest trails and waterfalls, is 3.7 km away. Both the temple and the sanctuary are close enough to reach without a long drive, and the waterfall and the national park are both reached by road from the villa.

A day could start at Wat Sophon Wanaram and the elephant sanctuary, continue on the forest trails of Khao Phra Thaeo National Park and finish at Patong Beach, the island's best-known beach, which is a drive away. The Big Buddha on its hilltop is a longer drive, and it makes a good stop for a day that covers the island's sights.
