The Two Heroine's Monument is 600 m from the villa, honouring the two women who defended Thalang against a Burmese army, and the Thalang National Museum is 750 m away, covering the history of the island. Wat Si Sunthon, a local temple, lies 1.1 km away, and Might Food Market, a neighbourhood market for food and everyday shopping, is close by.

A good day could start at the monument and the museum in the morning, then continue to Patong Beach, 11.3 km away, the island's best-known beach, with its nightlife on the streets behind it.
