Samui Star Guesthouse

Samui Star Guesthouse offers rooms with single, double, king and queen beds, along with two-bedroom apartments for larger groups. Several rooms have a mountain, garden, nature or country view, and the two-bedroom apartments sleep up to five and four guests.

Some rooms have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and others share a bathroom, and fans or air conditioning are provided in several rooms. Flat-screen TVs are provided in several rooms as well.

The guesthouse has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor one, a poolside bar, a garden and a terrace. Massage, billiards and a shared lounge with a TV area are also offered.

There is an airport transfer, a shuttle service, car hire and bicycle rental, and the 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping, laundry service and luggage storage are also available. Express check-in and check-out are also offered, and family rooms are offered too.

Chaweng is the best-known beach area of Koh Samui, a long bay of sand with a busy road behind it and shops, bars and evening stalls along the lanes. The area has plenty to do after dark, and the guesthouse is in the same area. Samui Airport is also nearby on the island, and the guesthouse can be reached from it by road.

Chaweng Noi Beach is 1.7 km away and Chaweng Yai Beach 2.1 km, two stretches of sand in the same area, while the Walking street market, with its stalls and food, is 1.5 km away. Big Buddha, the large seated Buddha statue at a temple on the coast, is 5.7 km away, and the Na Muang Waterfall in the island's interior is 8.3 km away.

Getting around the island is usually done by car or scooter, since the sights are spread out and the roads connect them. Big Buddha and the Na Muang Waterfall make a good contrast, one on the coast and one inland, and both are worth a visit. A good day can start with a swim at Chaweng Noi, continue to the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks at Lamai, and finish with the Walking street market in the evening.
