Several rooms at Samui Pier Beach Resort have a sea view, and one has an ocean view with a balcony or terrace. There is also a 60 m² one-bedroom bungalow, and a 70 m² room that sleeps up to six guests. The setting works well for guests who want a seaside base, with the village's evening life a short drive away and the rest of the island a drive away.

Samui Airport is 1.4 km away, the closest airport to the resort. Big Buddha, one of Koh Samui's best-known landmarks, is close by, and Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue and gardens, is nearby too. Na Muang Waterfall lies in the island's interior, 12.1 km away, so it is best treated as a separate excursion.

A good day could start with Big Buddha and Wat Plai Laem, then a swim at the private beach. In the evening, the Fisherman's Village walking street, 2.7 km away, is the place for dinner and a stroll. For Na Muang Waterfall, a rented car or a hired driver is the easiest way to get there, and the resort offers car hire and bicycle rental for getting around.
