The Grand Palace is 1.9 km away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, stands inside the same complex. Wat Arun, a riverside temple with a tall central tower, is 2.6 km away on the west bank of the Chao Phraya. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street with bars and food stalls, is 750 m from the hotel, and the Rama 8 Bridge ferry pier is 250 m away for river crossings. Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip away across the city.

A full day here could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, continue with a walk through Banglamphu and a visit to a local history museum, and end on Khaosan Road in the evening. Chatuchak Weekend Market is best kept for a separate day, since it lies further away.
