National Stadium BTS station is 350 m from the hotel, so the Skytrain is an easy way to reach the wider city. Wat Pho, the temple of the reclining Buddha, and Wat Arun, across the Chao Phraya river, are among the sights in the old city, and the Grand Palace is 3.9 km away.

A full day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, then continue by boat across the river to Wat Arun. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.1 km away, is a weekend market, so plan that trip for a Saturday or Sunday.
