Further afield, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 4.6 km away, and the airports are 17.5 km for Don Mueang and 21.6 km for Suvarnabhumi.

A good day could begin at Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets, and continue to the Jim Thompson House, the former home of the silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, set in traditional Thai houses. In the evening, the night markets make an easy finish to the day, and the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are a longer trip across the city for a day of temples.
