Rosa Mar

Every room at Rosa Mar has air conditioning and is set up for up to two guests. The rooms measure from 29 to 45 m², and each one has a single queen or king bed. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels, and linens are provided.

The rooms also have a hair dryer, a flat-screen TV and a coffee and tea maker with an electric kettle. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, and the sea and mountain views come from rooms with those names. Lamai is a bay on Koh Samui with a long sandy beach, a village feel along its main road and a quieter pace than Chaweng, the island's main resort area. The village behind the beach is small and everyday, with simple shops and eateries. Rosa Mar is for travellers who want the beach close by and easy access to the island's temples and rock formations, without the busiest stretch of coast around them.

Lamai Beach is 300 m from the hotel. The Lamai Fresh Food Market and the Lamai Night Market are both about 900 m away, which keeps daily shopping and evening food close. Samui Airport is 8.3 km away, the island's own airport, so arriving by air is the direct route to Lamai. The Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks, known as the Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, are 3 km away along the coast.

A good day can begin at the Big Buddha temple at Bophut, 10.8 km away, and end back in Lamai with the afternoon on Lamai Beach. Wat Lamai, a temple in the same area, is a simple stop between the beach and the market. Na Muang Waterfall, further inland, makes a good excursion for a half day.
