A day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, then head back to Yaowarat Road for dinner and the street-food stalls. Yaowarat Road, the main street of Chinatown, is also the place to try Yaowarat Toasted Bread, a local favourite. Hua Lamphong railway station is useful for train journeys out of Bangkok. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 7.6 km away, is a separate outing for the weekend, with plenty of food and crafts.
