Patong Beach, 9.9 km away, is one of Phuket's best-known beaches, while Kata and Karon are the main beaches farther south on the west coast and Nai Harn Beach is on the south coast. Roads connect the town with the beaches, and a car or scooter is useful for reaching the southern beaches.
