The rooms at Rhythm of life guesthouse sleep up to four guests and come with queen and king beds, with some offering a private bathroom and others a shared one. Rooms can have air conditioning, towels, slippers and a dining table, and some have a city or garden view.

It is a practical base for those who want to walk between the sights of Rattanakosin, the historic core of the city, and reach the rest of Bangkok by public transport.

Khaosan Road, the backpacker street, is 700 m away, and the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, in the same complex, are 1.8 km away. Across the river, Wat Arun, known for its tall central prang, is 2.5 km away. Nearby, the royal temple of Wat Bowon Niwet Ratchaworawihan and the old Phra Sumen Fort on the riverside add to a walk around the area, and Sam Yot MRT station is close by for trips across the city.

A good day can start at the Grand Palace and end with a stroll along Khaosan Road, with a river ferry from the piers near Phra Sumen Fort for a crossing to Wat Arun. For weekend shopping, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is on the far side of the city, so it is a longer trip that is best planned ahead.
